A 2-day lift pass is included in this package, making this trip a great value for Snowboarders and Downhill Skiers.
This trip is not for XC skiers because the price includes the lift pass, which can't be deducted.
Take an easy ride to Southern Vermont for great snow fun! Snowboarders and Skiers enjoy expertly maintained slopes with award winning snowmaking and grooming at Stratton Mountain Resort, the epitome of a full-service resort. You can experience "Stratton Unplugged" - multifaceted mountain adventure parks for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Features include terrain gardens, wooded trails, carving parks, over 70 acres of glades, bump terrain, pocket playgrounds and Stratton's Top Ten Hits.
If that isn’t enough for you, there are plenty of other fun-packed activities: The Summit Adventure Center offers snowshoes, snowblades, and telemark skis (and there is even a fitness center and trail systems for XC skiing). And Stratton's slope-side village is lined with an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants that will entice you to take a break from the slopes.
We stay at The Inn at Stratton Mountain, a modern hotel just a short walk (or shuttle ride) from Stratton Village, giving you the freedom to come and go as you please. This convenient location puts you minutes away from the lifts at the Main Base in the Village or Sun Bowl Base, giving easy access to what ever terrain you seek. Since your lift pass is part of the package there’s no waiting with the crowds to start the day. If you want, you can make first tracks! Or sleep late and get on the snow at the crack of noon, without the guilt of spending for a full-day’s pass.
We start each morning with a hardy breakfast in the hotel (which you might miss if you do sleep too late). After a day of fun in the snow, a large fireplace makes the hotel lobby a comfortable place to relax. If you really need to unwind, there is a hot tub and a sauna as well. Dinner (not included in the price of this trip) can be enjoyed in the Hotel’s restaurant or lounge. Or for the explorer in you, the village has a number of pubs, shops and restaurants for Saturday evening's entertainment.
Being in Southern Vermont, a little closer to NYC, allows a full second day of fun and a shorter ride home.
Price ($410 in 2007) per person includes bus transportation from NYC, two nights lodging (double occupancy) and 2 breakfasts at the hotel, and a 2-day lift pass, making this a great value! Dinner is NOT included.
