Day Trips

Day Trips are not offered every year. Check our Schedule!

Every so often, instead of planning our own chartered bus we have two different ways to take advantage of local conditions when they are too good to leave untouched.

Downhill

For Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding we will take advantage of the regularly scheduled bus trips by local ski shops. If you haven't been informed through our email updates, just send us an email asking about day trips for any particular date or destination. We will announce dates when there are SSCoNY Members planning to go.

The Ski & Snowboard Club of New York will not collect payment for day trips! Everyone registers directly with the trip organizers, paying in advance through their website.

Cross-country

For Cross-country skiing, we will announce when there are SSCoNY Members interested in car-pooling or rental car-sharing. We will help coordinate rides to either Minnewaska/Mohonk or Fahnestock for a day of XC Skiing.

If you want to get a group going on a particular date, to a particular destination, just let us know. We will spread the word and see if there are enough others interested in forming a SSCoNY Group.

For car-pooling or rental car-sharing, you will have to share the costs with those you travel with; either collecting from others or paying to others, depending on the arrangements that you are involved in. SSCoNY has no direct involvement with the expenses of day trips.

Pick Up

Day trips will involve an early morning pick-up (typically 6am for bus trips and 7-8am for car trips) at a mutually convenient spot. And depending on the arrangements you have with your travel mates, a return to the city in the early evening.
